Let’s finish what we started and reelect me to the School Board.

I’m running for reelection to the Shaker Heights City School District Board of Education, and I need your support to finish what we’ve started.

Four years ago, you trusted our board to help reset our schools after the pandemic. Together, we've delivered meaningful progress for our students and families.

For the past two years, I’ve served as president of the school board – working with the Board and the District to turn plans into action:

  • Developing our District's Key Performance Indicators, bringing accountability and transparency to how we measure student success.

  • Supporting the largest capital investment in our district's history, securing funding that will modernize every K-8 building

  • Expanding pre-K access for all Shaker families ensuring that our community’s 5 year olds are kindergarten ready.

But our most important work lies ahead. Going forward, we must focus on education, implementation, and sustainability. This means:

  • Continuing to ensure that every Shaker student, regardless of background, has access to rigorous, engaging coursework so that they have postsecondary education and career success after high school graduation. Our detracked and deleveled classrooms play a key role in this effort.

  • Continuing the renovate our schools; right now, construction crews are moving from Ludlow to begin renovating Woodbury into a 21st century middle school.  Our elementary schools are next up for renovation!

  • Ask voters to support a critical operating levy, because while our vision is big, state and federal funding for public schools keeps shrinking.  We need to combat that challenge in a sustainable, student-centered way.
